Great app. I have to say I really like this app and would rate it 5 stars if there were a couple more anime titles on it. Also a word for the people complaining about not being a "premium member" plz stop, you have to pay because it helps fund the anime producers and stuff and without that funding they cant produce anime. So plz stop being stupid; they may offer the app as free so you can see some select titles but really thats them being nice so shush.Cya dummies x3

Yes you have to pay but it more than worth it. All bad comments are about the fact it aint free so take all 1 star as 4 stars cause in fact, everything is fine with this app

You basically cant do anything without being a premium member. Its changed since the update and its an "insta-uninstall" for me. Aside from that, once the first ad starts, it just keeps playing more and more ads non stop, with no way to back out of the video except by closing the app. "When will you learn, that your actions have consequences?" 0.5/10

Why do you have to pay money to watch anime its not fair I really had high hopes for this app and I really wanted to watch some anime I just hope that someday itll be free

I am kinda disappointed in the comments section, where everyone expects anime to be free despite Crunchyroll offering free episodes in previous years. In order to keep the anime industry alive, yes, you need to pay for a premium service (even if they force you in-app!). I have also been using Crunchyroll for free since 2010, but started premium only 2 years ago. Looking forward to new episodes/series everyday is one of favourite things during my busy week. For those wondering if premium is worth it, I can say it sure is. $7 a month gets you high definition episodes (and additional series on the way!) every week, bringing you new content from Japan to satisfy your anime cravings. Thanks Crunchyroll team, for all your hard work! I, along with others, definitely appreciate it. I really love the new interface change! Some bugs here and there, but theyre nothing too major. I would totally give this app 5 stars, but I feel like its missing 2 key components... 1) Having a full sized screen and 2) being able to switch to another language such as English, Spanish, French etc... other than those 2 things, I highly recommend this app for anyone who likes to watch anime or manga!

Its good! But there are some anime that should be on Crunchyroll that are not so im disappointed in that.

I get stuck in an ads infinite loop. I quit the app, started it again, same problem... Its unusable.

the app totaly scammed me

When I skip an ad, it then plays another ad. This is extremely frustrating because it seems the only way to get past this issue to watch the whole ad (and sometimes that doesnt even work, and gives me more ads after). Please fix ASAP. Excellent selection of anime though! Great app otherwise.

I love Crunchyroll I love watching all the animes on this app my favourite show to watch was momokuri but sadly the show end but they have a wide selections of animes so you should totally download this app

Ive had premium for a while now and the only thing I could ask for is 1; Comments. I know there are comments on the PC website, so why doesnt the app have them?

This app has a good layout and you can navigate through it with ease. My only problem with Crunchyroll is that it doesnt have some of the animes I want to watch. I just wish they would add more animes (both current and older animes). Other than that this app is great if you have a paid subscription If not your going to see ALOT of ads. I hope this review was helpful

I had this app quite a while ago and I quite liked it. It was fair and was a freemium service that allowed you to watch anime but with ads, while being a paid member allowed you an ad-free viewing experience. Now, youre forced to be a subscriber to even VIEW the content, which is a pretty pathetic move from a viewing service that had every chance to increase its revenue by simply adding a small bit more ads and raising the price a bit. It would be okay if this app had their current revenue system in the first place, much like Netflix. But no, theyve decided that they really do need more money and strong-armed their once-loyal fanbase into paying something that used to be (somewhat) free. Oh, and for those who say: "Get a job and pay the bloody subscription," theres Viewster, who actually allows you to watch anime for FREE. Its selection might not match Crunchyroll, but its pretty close from what Ive seen. Crunchyroll used to compete with that app, but now its a no-brainer: Viewster is now the way to go. And because those loyal fans of Crunchyroll know that the app is competing with Viewster, theyre sticking by it. That is, until the latest update, which basically screamed: "Choose the alternative! Its 100% cheaper with almost the same quality as Crunchyroll!" I hope the guys behind the scenes see what theyve done before too much damage has been done. I really did like the app a while ago. Disclosure: I wasnt paid by Viewster to write this less-than-detailed review. Just merely commenting on the state of Crunchyroll.

Full of Advertisement for 1 stupid anime....and cant watch until youre "Premium" Stupid Developers wanting money so badly

The app works fine until you get an advertisement... Then the infinite looping of never-ending ads takes over and the app gets real sick real fast.

Some anime series description just does not show the whole description. There is no button for it to show the rest. Some anime series does not have genre put into the title. At least do something about this too, people pay for your app then you guys are slacking. There is not much difference from your app to just some random anime streaming website. Why cant I rate an anime if its good or not? Like every anime series there is a star rating on it but I cant express my opinion on how much should I rate it? Let me rate that anime.

You have chosen to remove the only feature that brings newcomers... the fact that you can watch most anime free with ads... Its super unfair. This is why people pirate anime. Its not just this app the PS4 thing is just as screwed.. can only watch newly airing shows... I have no idea what your business model is but if I was working on this no problems like this would occur.
